Cost effective, low cost sustainable heating systems for businesses
At Neutral Energy Solutions, our team of skilled experienced of engineers and support staff design, install and maintain Heat Pumps.
From our offices in Exeter, Devon, we work with clients in a wide range of sectors in Exeter, Truro, Plymouth, Taunton and throughout the South West region.
Many businesses looking at ways to reduce energy bills and cut down on their carbon footprint are starting to look at heat pumps for a long-term cost effective solution.
There are two main types of heat pump;
air source heat pumps (ashp), and
ground source heat pumps (gshp).
The most popular choice is air source heat pumps as they require little space and cost less to install.
Ground source heat pumps are more expensive to install and because of the land required, generally better suited to larger sites.
It is estimated that commercial heating contributes to around 40% of CO2 emissions and sourcing new and sustainable ways to heat premises is at the top of the list for many businesses.
A commercial heat pump system is more than capable of providing all the heating needs for your business.
With an average lifespan of 10-25 years and minimal maintenance requirements. they represent long term, good value for money in savings from reduced energy bills as well as helping commercial premises reduce their environmental impact.

Air Source Heat Pumps
An air source heat pump heat takes heat from the outside air, compressing into gas which is then heated and used to power your heating system.
The Benefits of Air Source Heat Pump Systems
Lower fuel bills if replacing a traditional fossil fuel boiler
Reduce carbon emissions for your business
Relatively low maintenance costs
Clean heating technology
ASHP still use electricity from the mains to drive the pump but this should be more cost effective than using it directly for heating.
At Neutral Energy Solutions, our MCS accredited, experienced engineers and support staff are committed to designing a system to meet your individual needs and goals.

Ground Source Heat Pumps
Ground source heat pumps (GSHP) provide heating and hot water by extracting heat from stored in the ground. The ground stays at a fairly constant temperature just below the surface, providing consistent, low carbon, free energy all year round.
The benefits of a GSHP are much the same as an air source heat pump, however the cost of installing a ground source heat pump is typically higher.
This is due to the work involved in installing and the space required to power the unit.
There are a number of things to consider when looking at ground source heating.
Is your property sufficiently insulated
Do you have the outside space required
Is the ground suitable
You should also consider how you will be heating your property. Although it is sometimes possible to retro-fit to existing heat emitters, ground source heat pumps work better with under floor or warm air heating (air conditioning) rather than traditional radiators.
